Twister Quilt

This is a quilt that I designed to look just like the Twister game. I wanted to put it together as a pattern, but when I contacted Milton Bradley (the company that sells the game) they would not give me licencing permission. But that can't stop me from sharing my picture!

I used the exact measurements from a Twister mat for my dimensions and traced the letters on black to applique TWISTER for each end strip.

The circles are done with scraps of the different colors. I used foundation piecing (each circle was done in fourths first) and made the circles a bit bigger, then trimmed them down to the size on the game. They are appliqued onto an 11" x 9.5" cream background piece and then I sewed the 24 blocks together.

This is a great quilt for a family room and has been fun to give as a gift to families with kids.
