American Spirit

I made this quilt using red, white and blue fabric -- all with the same design. After finishing it, I thought that this was a good example of what not to do. However, everyone who sees it really likes it. Susie Edwards designed this quilt in 2002, so I don't know if the pattern is still available or not.

God Bless America

Last year I did a quilt that incorporated all the words to
God Bless America
This was also during my "I think I want to be a quilt designer" phase. Susan took this picture and wrote down measurements... maybe if we ask her nice, she'll post the details for everyone :)



It's hard to tell from this picture (and I would do it bigger next time) but the three white stripes of the flag have the words "Through the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans, white with foam."

And yes, those are my fuzzy slippers.
