My watermelon quilt

This is one of those quilts you have a love/hate relationship with....  I kept making mistakes and it drove me crazy!  But now that it is done, I love it!!

I'm really sick and tired of being nice.

I'm heading up to Alaska next week and a friend is letting us stay at her place and another friend is taking us fishing for an entire day.  So what's a quilter to do?  Make them each a quilt!  The problem is that I fell in love with these quilts and don't want to give them away.

I adore them.

I sit and pet them like a new puppy.

I want to marry them.

Just kidding on the last one.

I made this baby quilt for our local quilt shop (which, unfortunately, is going out of business).  I had never really sewn on minkie before and am not sure I want to again -- but I probably will as minkie is so soft and this quilt turned out to be so cute.  I even did the little bit of quilting that needed to be done. :)
