Operation Wood Hollow
There have been so many wild fires this year and one of our Quilt Sisters (Hi Susan!) was evacuated from her home in Woodland Park, CO. Luckily, she was able to return to a home still standing. Many were not so lucky.
I recently found a quilter from Utah that is collecting quilts to donate to those that have lost their homes in the many fires this year.
You can see details on her blog: Having Fun Quilting!!
My heart has ached for all of those affected by the fires and so I'm excited to find a way to help! Now if you are thinking you need to make a brand-new quilt or that it has to be intricate and fancy; let me reassure you that it doesn't. I have many quilts that I have made over the year that have been rarely used. I'll admit I have an obsession and one of my kids tried counting all the quilts but gave up after about 70. I plan to find one that has not been abused by pets, kids or outdoor activities and ship it off.
Pass the word along!

So glad to hear that Susan's home was untouched. My heart goes out to all those affected by all the fires.
