2013 Quilts - Part 1

I've been quilting since 2005 and have probably finished about 400 quilts (yep, I 'm a little obsessive, crazy and want world peace).

My beloved in-laws passed away this past year after 65 years of marriage.  As we went through photos for the funeral videos I found a few pictures of them and my quilts.  My mother-in-law loved my quilts and I loved making them for her.

This got me wishing I had photos of all the quilts I have made with the people I made them for.   So I've decided to start taking more pictures and keeping track of who I give the quilts too.  I need to remember to get in the habit of getting pictures with the recipient, but I figure baby steps are good.

Here are the quilts I have made so far this year:

"Pinwheel Tessellation"
This is a small table topper
Given to Makenzie Moore for her wedding

"Canning Jars for Mama"
Given to my mom for her 71st bday.
I'm pretty sure if you stand still long in my mom's kitchen during
canning season she will chop you up and can you.
I'm not kidding.

"Music to my Ears"
Graduation gift for my son....
Hearing my kids play instruments has always been one of my favorite things.
Braden has played the trumpet, coronet, baritone, numerous guitars
and other random instruments.  Makes me happy.

"Trip Around the World"
Birthday gift for my BFF Tammy
We love to travel together and I love this scrappy pattern.

I knew you were prolific, but I sure would not have guessed 400! That is fantastic!
